The DPRK's Sovereign Development Path and Revolutionary Internationalism (w/ Ju-Hyun Park)

from Journal of International Solidarity · host A. Shantha

In this episode, I have a wide-ranging conversation with Ju-Hyun Park regarding the politics of the DPRK. We discuss the central role of the US’ economic warfare in structuring how development takes place; we looked at some of the recent innovations in the DPRK’s socialist development model, including a focus on rural development; finally, we looked at the DPRK’s record on international solidarity, particularly with Iran and in West Asia, as well as the current state of anti-imperialism in Asia.Ju-Hyun is an organizer with Nodutdol, which is a Korean diasporic organization that advocates for Korea’s reunification and national liberation within a broader global horizon for anti-imperialism: https://nodutdol.org/  Ju-Hyun’s article in People’s Dispatch: https://peoplesdispatch.org/2026/02/24/defying-sanctions-advancing-socialism-the-dprks-9th-party-congress-begins/  Journal of International Solidarity LinksPatreon: https://patreon.com/internationalsolidaritypodcast/  Instagram: https://instagram.com/journalofintlsolidarity/  Substack: https://intlsolidarity.substack.com/
