Hola! In this episode I was joined by Carla Avalos, a Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Carla shares with us her healing journey regarding the Father Wound. Growing up you may have heard it called "daddy issues" however the Father Wound is not exclusive to absent fathers... I appreciated that we also got to talk about how this wound can impact how you relate to others in your adulthood. It's an important episode and I hope you tune in!Get to Know Carla:  Carla Avalos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional who was born and raised in Los Angeles, C.A. and is a daughter of a Salvadoran immigrant mother. Ms. Avalos has a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Cal State Los Angeles and Master’s in Social Work from USC. Ms.Avalos works full-time a Mental Health Clinical supervisor for L.A.County Dept. Of Mental Health and also has a part time private practice providing individual and couples therapy. Ms. Avalos is trained in Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Ms. Avalos also provides immigration evaluation services to individuals experiencing extreme hardship, survivors of violence and trafficking, and seeking asylum.
