The First Poem

In this episode of The Pathetic Truth, I return to the days leading up to Christmas during the first weeks of my awakening. As emotions I couldn’t explain grew stronger, I found myself doing something I never imagined would become part of my life: writing poetry. What began as a private attempt to make sense of an overwhelming experience became the first step toward discovering my voice.
