The Fruit of the Spirit

Jesus Christ exemplified godly character and every Christian should aspire to be like him. If we set a target or goal of being like Christ, our behavior will exhibit the fruit of the spirit as listed in Galatians 5:22-23.  This fruit is the essential character of Christ, his nature.  This teaching briefly examines the characteristics of the 9 listed fruits, also pointing out that the list is not exhaustive.  Verses: Gal. 5:16-26; 2 Pet. 1:4; Phil. 2:13; 3:1; Col. 1:27; Matt. 5:44; Exod. 23:4; 1 Thess. 5:16; Ps. 23:4-5   Teacher: John Schoenheit
