    8 Watts of Willingness

There is great value in having a heart to do God’s will and to serve Him as a faithful vessel, even if we feel unequipped or underprepared to do so. If we are willing to remove the distractions from our lives and seek to do what God and Jesus Christ have called us to do, great things can be accomplished even if we only have a small amount of willingness on our part.  Verses: 2 Tim. 2:20-21, 14-19; 4:1-2; Ps. 90:12; 39:4 Teacher: Jerry Wierwille

  2. 197

    The Real Christmas Story

The Christmas story is important because the birth of Christ is important. The traditional story of His birth contains many errors, and presents a cold, hard, and lonely picture about the circumstances of his birth. This expository teaching explores and reveals a deeper, more accurate understanding of the customs, time and place, and other details that truly make the birth of Christ an inspiring account of love, obedience, giving, and sacrifice.  Verses: Luke 1:24-40, 56-57; 2:1-24; Matt. 1:18-25; Lev. 12:6-8  Teacher: John Schoenheit

It’s Okay To Enjoy Your Life

There is a belief among many Christians that we don’t deserve and should not pursue enjoyment in this life--that life should only be taken seriously and sober-mindedly at all times. But is that really God’s intention for us? Scripture illustrates God’s viewpoint that we can and should enjoy our work and the fruit of it, and even to approach life with humor.  Verses: Mark 6:45-48; Titus 2:6; Phil. 3:1, 4:4; Isa. 22:12-13; 1 Cor. 15:32; Eccles. 2:24-25; 3:4,12-13, 22; 5:18; 8:15; 9:7; 11:8-9  Teacher: John Schoenheit

    No Retirement

This teaching explores the importance of our individual calling and how each of us has been redeemed to a life of service to Jesus. We were not preordained, but we were invited into service and relationship with our Lord—and we, by our free will, answered that call. It’s a commitment from which we don’t get to retire, just like Jesus did not retire when he ascended to the Father’s right hand!  Verses: Rom. 8:28-30; 11:29; Matt. 22:1-14; 2 Thess. 2:13-14; 1 Cor. 1:26-29; Eph. 1:15-18; 4:1; Phil. 3:10-14; 2 Thess. 1:3-12; 2 Pet. 1:10-11  Teacher: Dennis Hickman

    The Shema of Deuteronomy 6:4

The Shema is not only a declaration to Israel – it is a statement about relationship. This teaching presents three aspects of the Shema: what it is not saying, what it is saying, and how it applies to our lives. The teacher explores its meaning through a Biblical Unitarian perspective, highlighting what it reveals about God and our relationship with Him. We are encouraged to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.  Verses: Deut. 6:4-5; 4:35, 39; Mark 12:28-34; John 17:3; 1 Cor. 8:6; Exod. 20:2-3; Song of Sol. 6:8-9; Zech. 14:9; 13:2; Isa. 2:20  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  6. 193

    Live Joyfully in Every Circumstance

Philippians is a wonderful book in the Church Epistles, a letter penned by Paul with an abundance of encouragement and instruction for believers. One of the greatest aspects of Philippians is the depth of exploration into joy and endurance and how, through our reliance on Jesus and our unity with him, we can all have a godly mindset and approach to life no matter what situations we face.  Verses: Acts 16:9-25; Phil. 1:1- 4:23  Teacher: Jeff Tyler

  7. 192

    God’s Unique Day

In Zechariah 14, verses 6 and 7 speak of a “unique” day in the future known only to Yahweh. Our God has quite a challenge to take on: restore our fallen world with its many flaws, to the state of “Paradise” as it was in the Garden of Eden. But God is up to the challenge and it will only take Him one “unique” day to do it.  To view the chart referenced in this teaching, click here.  Verses: Heb. 1:1-2; Dan. 9:24-27; Rev. 19:11, 14-15, 17, 19-21; 20:7-9; Ezek. 37:11-14; Matt. 25:31-33; Zech. 14:1-7; Luke 21:7-12, 20-22; 23:43; Gen. 1:30; 2 Cor.12:4; Isa. 11:1-2, 5, 9; 35:1-2, 6, 7  Teacher: John Schoenheit

Righteousness: Doing Right by God and People

It is important to every Christian that we understand the meaning of righteousness, especially as it is used in the New Testament. While the uses of “righteousness” were often blended in the Old Testament and Gospels, the word has two distinct meanings in the New Testament Epistles: 1.) having a right standing in the sight of God, and 2.) doing right by God and others.  Verses: Rom. 3:23, 24; 5:1; 10:4; 2 Tim. 3:12, 16; 2:22; Phil. 4:8; 2 Chron. 12:5, 6; Ezra 9:13-15; Ps. 11:7; 116:5; 145:17; 37:21,32; 1 Sam. 12:7; Deut. 24:12, 13; 2 Sam. 22:2; Eccl. 7:16; Matt. 5:6, 10, 20; 6:33; Jer. 23:1-5; Luke 11:46  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  9. 190

    The Day of Pentecost

This teaching examines several aspects of the Day of Pentecost including the names of Pentecost in the Old Testament and the offerings and what they signified. Also presented is clear evidence that on the Day of Pentecost the Apostles were not in an upper room, but in the Temple itself, and shows the significance of Pentecost in the life of believers today, especially in light of the manifestations of the gift of holy spirit.  Verses: Exod. 23:14; 34:23; Deut. 16:16; Lev. 23:9-11, 15-17, 21; Acts 1:8; 2:1-18,33; John 7:27-39;  Ezek. 11:19; 36:26,27; Eph. 1:13,14; Matt. 12:44; 1 Pet. 2:5; Exod. 19:9-25; 20:1-2;  Luke 24: 50-53  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  10. 189

    Stir Up the Gift

Every believer has a service to perform —something God has equipped and enabled them to do, a “gift” ministry. The subject of our gift ministries is approached in four parts: the background of Paul’s phrase, “stir up the gift;” the meaning of “stir up the gift;” keys to recognizing our individual gifts, callings, and service; and ways our gifts can be fitted together to build up the Body of Christ.   Verses: 2 Tim. 1:3-7; Rom. 12:1-8; Eph. 4:1,7-8, 11-16  Teacher: Jeff Tyler

  11. 188

    What About the Rapture?

This teaching takes a thorough look into the biblical evidence for the Rapture, including its purpose, meaning, places where it is referenced in Scripture, and more. The Rapture is a great part of every Christian’s hope. A scriptural understanding of what it is and the intricacies surrounding it are laid out simply in this teaching.    Verses: Isa. 9:7; 61:1-3; 63:1, 4; 65:17, 19-23, 25; Jer. 32:37; Dan. 7:13; Zech. 9:9-10; Matt. 16:13-16, 21-22; 23:34-35; 24:3, 9; John 12:32-34; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Eph. 3:2-3, 5; 1 Thess. 1:10; 4:15-18; 5:2, 9; 2 Thess. 2:1-2, 7; Rev. 1:4, 9-10; 2:1, 4, 7, 9-10, 14, 16, 20, 23  Teacher: John Schoenheit

    Experiencing Ephesians in Love

This teaching explores the theme of love that is woven throughout the Book of Ephesians. Taking a look into many passages surrounding the story of God’s purpose through the ages, this teaching unfurls a powerful love story between God and mankind through paths of redemption, promise, calling, restoration, commission and more.   Verses: Eph. 1:4; 2:4; 3:16-19; 4:1, 15-16; 5:1-2, 25-33; 6:23-24  Teacher: Jeff Tyler

  13. 186

    Trust God and Let Go

Hebrews chapter 11 points out how Old Testament believers trusted in the promises of God. In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul also is a great example of trusting God and letting go of his credentials and past. By following these examples in the Old and New Testaments, we also can trust God, “let go,” and grow into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.   Verses: Heb. 11; 12:1-3; Phil. 3  Teacher: Jeff Tyler

  14. 185

Evangelism – Giving the Greatest Gift

How can you help someone receive the greatest gift—everlasting life? This teaching explores the topic of evangelism from many angles, including why evangelism is so important, why it’s risky, and why it’s ultimately worth it. Included are helpful, practical tips on how to be an ambassador for Christ in a way that engages people and helps show them the love, power, and reality of God.   Verses: Prov. 4:7; Mark 8:36-37; Luke 15:4-7; Acts 1:8; Rom. 10:14-15; 1 Cor. 2:14-16; 3:9; 14:5, 6, 22; 2 Cor. 2:14-16; 3:4-6; 5:10, 17-20; Eph. 6:19; Phil. 2:25-28; Col. 4:2-4; 1 Thess. 2:19-20  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  15. 184

    God’s Seal of Ownership

The Book of Ephesians is the apex of all communication regarding the Body of Christ with Jesus as the head, and the blessings we have as believers who are part of the Body of Christ. Chapters 1-3 of Ephesians present our position in Christ, and Chapter 1 in particular presents our place in God’s plan and in His family in that we are sealed with the promised holy spirit.    Click here for a Greek Diagram of Ephesians 1:1-14.  Verses: Eph. 1:3-14; 4:30; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; Est. 8:8; Rom. 15:28; Heb. 6:13-20  Teacher:  Dennis Hickman

  16. 183

    Family Unity

This three-part teaching explores the topic of unity in our Christian walk. The first segment brings insight regarding care, respect, and submission between husbands and wives. The next addresses the parent/child relationship, how our earthly parental relationships reflect our relationship with God. The final segment explores the master/servant relationship, and the necessity for love, care, honor and respect for others.  Verses: Eph. 5:21-6:4; 1:4; Col. 3:18; Heb. 12:12; Mark 14:32-36  Teacher: Gary, Karen, Grace and Caitlyn Theisen

  17. 182

    A Look into Ezekiel

This teaching introduces us to the prophet Ezekiel, focusing on the first 3 chapters of the Book of Ezekiel, which, although difficult to understand, contain many lessons we can learn from Ezekiel’s life and visions.  The teaching includes a vivid description of God’s chariot throne, His glory, and His commands to speak His words whether others listen or not.  Verses: Ezek. 1-3; Gen. 1:7; 18:1; 1 Tim. 6:16  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  18. 181

    Free Will

This teaching covers the concept of free will in the Bible and Christian life, exploring God’s interplay with us as we choose day-to-day whether to honor God and do His will, or to simply accomplish our own agenda. All decisions, good or bad, have consequences. Godly choices lead to Godly results. His desire for us is to voluntarily choose to love Him and be a part of His family.  Verses: 1 Tim. 2:3-4; Phil. 2:13; Rom. 7:15-25; 8:1-4; 10:9-13; 2 Tim. 4:8; Gal. 6:7; Matt. 6:9-10; 26:30-34   Teacher: Dennis Hickman

  19. 180

    Blessing One Another

Many Christians do not realize that the biblical phrase “one another” refers specifically to Christians. God commands us to act for the benefits of “one another” in specific ways. This teaching explores how “one another” is used in the New Testament, offering practical advice for how we can best support and uplift one another in genuine love as we strive to obey God and strengthen the Body of Christ.  Verses: Gal. 4:31; 5:13; 6:10; John 1:12; 13:34-35; 1 John 3:2, 9-11; Rom. 1:13; 12:10, 16; 14:13, 19; 15:5, 7, 14, 17; Matt. 22:34; Mark 12:29-30; Deut. 6:4; Lev. 19:18; 1 Thess. 4:9,18; 5:15; 1 Tim. 1:22; Col. 1:28; 3:9,13,15; 1 Cor. 11:33; Eph. 4:2,32; 5:21; 1 Pet. 4:10, 19; 5:5; Heb. 10:24; James 4:11; 5:9, 16  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  20. 179

    Rewards in the Future Kingdom

The subject of rewards in the coming Kingdom of Christ on earth is not very well understood. However, rewards are addressed in dozens of verses, which explain the kinds of rewards we can earn, how our inheritance can be a reward, and whether or not we can lose our rewards. When Christ sets up his kingdom, he will reward each person based on what they have done in this life.  Verses: Rev. 19; Heb. 2:14; 11:24; 12:1-2; Acts 3:20-21; 27:20; Isa. 35:1-7; Ps. 62:12; Prov. 24:12; Eccles. 12:13-14; Matt. 5:5, 12; 16:27; 19:27; Jer. 17:10; Ezek. 33:20; 37:9-14; Rom. 2:6; 6:5; 10:9; 1 Cor. 6:9-10, 24-37; 15:58; 2 Cor. 5:10; Gal. 5:19-21; 6:9; Phil. 4:17; 2 Tim. 2:5-13; 4:7; 1 Thess. 4:6; Col. 3:23; Eph. 1:14; 5:5; Mal. 3:16; 2 John 1:8  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  21. 178

Can Anything Separate Us From the Love of God?

One of the believer’s privileges set forth in the book of Romans is “eternal life.” This teaching explores what it means to be “more than a conqueror “in Christ by illustrating that the theme of Romans is the “good news” of Jesus Christ. An overview of chapters 1-8 of Romans reveals the scope of the epistle, clearly portraying the way to salvation and eternal life.   Verses: Rom. 1:15-18; 2:1, 9-12, 28-29; 3:1-2, 20-24, 30; 4:1, 3, 9-10, 24; 5:1, 6, 8-12, 15-19; 6:1-6, 8; 7:7, 13, 24-25; 8:1-2, 30-39; Eph. 2:5-6; Col. 2:20; 3:1, 3-4; 2 Tim. 2:11  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  22. 177

Fulfilling Your Function in the Body of Christ

Understanding the work that God has called each of us to is vital as our effectiveness for Christ depends on our understanding of our calling. The road to discovering our individual function in the Body of Christ is explored through key sections from the Book of Acts.   Verses: Acts 5:27-39; 9:1-6, 10-16, 19-22, 26-30; 10:1-5, 9-16; 11:1-4, 18-26; 13:1-3; 2 Cor. 10:12-18; Rom. 12:1-8; Eph. 4:7, 11-16  Teacher: Jeff Tyler

  23. 176

    Living Wholeheartedly

Going through life our hearts can become numb and unable to fully experience the depths of joy and love. We may become afraid to feel the pain and sadness that come from the same place as joy and love. This teaching explores the steps we can take to heal and acquire strength for the journey to live life with our whole heart.  Verses: Ps. 22:14, 15; 27:7-8, 13, 14; 34:18; 36:7-10; 87:7; 133:1; 139:23-24; 147:3; Prov. 4:23; 14:10; 16:22; 27:19; Rom. 10:9-10; 12:15-16, 18; Matt. 22:37-39; 25:14-30; Jer. 17:9; 29:13; Luke 1:37; 6:45; Exod. 25:8; 1 Cor. 3:16; Gal. 4:6; Heb. 3:6-8; 10:19-22; Mark 14:34; Zech. 7:12; John 4:14; 13:35; 14:2; 17:20-24; Eph. 3:16-20; 4:3; Col. 3:13-14; 1 Sam. 61:1  Teacher: Caitlyn Theisen

  24. 175

When It Hurts to Bend the Knee

There is more to worshipping God than attending church or singing praises. Worship involves sacrifice. Becoming a disciple is an act of worship. It is about obeying God even when we don’t feel like it. Being a follower of Christ means we must forsake ourselves and follow him, no matter the cost.  Verses: Matt. 16:24-25; 10:37-40; Col. 3:23-24; Rom. 12:1-2; Mark 12:30; Isa. 29:13; John 4:23-24; 1 Pet. 2:4-5; 1 Cor. 3:16; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 4:20-24  Teacher: Jerry Wierwille

  25. 174

    Thinking Like God Thinks

Examples from the Torah and Christ’s life, show that not only is it possible to think like God does, but it is also a vital part of living a godly life. If we want to conduct ourselves in a way that serves and honors God, we must immerse ourselves in His way of thinking so we can be imitators of Christ and, therefore, imitators of God.   Verses: Isa. 1:2-4; 55:3, 6-8; 56:1; Eph. 5:1; John 7:24; 14:9; 1 Cor. 11:1; Acts 13:22; Rom. 12:1-2; Phil. 2:5; Matt. 7:1-2; Mark 1:35; Luke 22:42; 24:44; Josh. 1:7; Ps. 1:1-2; Exod. 21:1-4, 23-25, 28-29, 33-34; 22:14-15; 23:2-3  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  26. 173

    Crisis in Colossae

The Book of Philemon contains amazing insights into personal relationships among believers. Paul’s letter reveals much about how the Body of Christ is to work together in unity and forgiveness. This deep look into Paul’s demonstrated love for Onesimus and Philemon explores how the blend of grace and truth can translate into our lives and encourage us to walk in love even through difficult situations.  Verses: Col. 4:7-9; Philem. 1-25    Teacher: Dennis Hickman

  27. 172

    Jesus – The Red Thread

Throughout Scripture, we are presented with many accounts of people who walked bravely down the path of God’s will that was laid out before them. Each one points toward a bigger picture, Jesus Christ, and together they form the “red thread” of scripture. This teaching explores the source of bravery in several people of the Bible, illustrating how these accounts parallel and point toward the coming Savior.   Verses: Deut. 18:15-16; Num. 13:30-33; 14:1-16; 1 Sam. 17:1-37; Eph. 1:1-23  Teacher: Janet Speakes

  28. 171

Making the Most of Your Time / Invest in Your God-Given Talent

This pair of teachings addresses making the most of the time and talent God has given us. First, explore the importance of doing our best now, because our time in this life is limited. How we spend our time will echo in eternity. Next, the Parable of the Talents shows that each person is talented in his unique way. We are to use our talents, however great or small, to invest in the future kingdom.  Verses: (First Teaching) Luke 9:23; 1 Cor. 13:5; Heb. 10:24; (Second teaching) Matt. 25:14-30; 1 Pet. 4:10-11; Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:4-6, 14-31  Teachers: Ryan, Jerry Wierwille

  29. 170

    What is Faith?

The Greek word pistis is often translated “faith,” but what does it mean? The concept of “faith” in the Bible is commonly misunderstood. Learn the history of “the Word of Faith Movement” and how trying to make things happen by “just having faith” puts an immense amount of pressure on Christians. This teaching helps us understand that while our trust in God and Christ does not force things to happen, there are wonderful effects of trusting God and living wisely.  Verses: Matt. 23:23; Acts 17:31; Heb. 11:1, 6; 13:5; 2 Cor. 5:1-7; Prov. 23:4; 28:20; Luke 12:15; 1 Tim. 6:8  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  30. 169

    Prepare to Win

Competing in a grueling athletic event requires proper training and preparation. Each Christian has a racecourse laid out ahead of him and to win our race we must prepare ourselves. We prepare for good works, prepare to give an answer, prepare to resist, prepare to fight, and prepare to endure. Then, after a life of doing our best, we will be warmly welcomed by Jesus Christ at his return.  Verses: 1 Cor. 3:11-15; 9:25; 2 Tim. 2:19, 21-22; 4:5; Rom. 13:12-14; Prov. 23:26, 17; Eph. 6:10-18; Heb. 10:32-37  Teacher: Dan Gallagher

  31. 168

What in the World Are We Doing?

As Christians, we are often warned about the perils of getting too involved in the world. We’re told not to love the things of the world; not to conform to the world; and to keep the commandment unstained while living in this world. With all these instructions, it can be difficult to know how we should conduct ourselves in the world—to know what, in the world, we are doing!  Verses: Ps. 145:6; I Tim. 5:7; 6:11-14; James 1:27; 4:4; I John 2:15-17; 5:4-5  Teacher: Jerry Wierwille

  32. 167

    Forged in Fire

Despite the fact that adversity is a part of everyone’s life, people exert a lot of effort trying to avoid it. This mindset of seeking ease and comfort can limit us in seeing how God can and does use adversity to work powerfully with us. Having a proper attitude during difficult times helps us develop the character of Christ, increase in godliness, and grow more into the image of our Lord.  Verses: Gen.  2:1-2, 12; 45:5; Prov. 17:3; Isa. 48:10; 2 Cor. 11:23-33; Gal. 5:15, 25; Phil.  2:13-14; 1 Thess. 5:6-8; Heb. 4:6; 12:4-8; James 1:2-4, 12; 5:10-11  Teacher: Dan Gallagher

  33. 166

Understanding Wisdom Literature in the Bible

The Bible employs many figures of speech; it also contains poetry and wisdom literature that are written in a non-literal way. In biblical cultures “wisdom statements” were well-understood, but in our much more straightforward and factual writing of today, those statements can be confusing. This teaching shows how wisdom statements can be clarified in light of the scope of Scripture.  Verses: Gen. 25:21-23; 1 Kings 22:15; Ps.1:6; Prov. 11:31; 13:5; 15:6; 16:3, 7; 18:3; 22:6; Isa. 55:12; Matt. 5:13, Rom. 13:3; 1 Pet. 3:13; 1 John 1:8; 3:1-9  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  34. 165

    Focus on the Mission Possible

The mission of every born-again Christian is to love God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength, and his neighbor as himself, and to honor and serve Christ. This teaching delves into the Book of Hebrews, exploring the theme of Jesus as the Christ and the reasons why we should spend our energy serving, worshipping, and obeying him, while turning our eyes constantly to follow him.  Verses: Heb. 1:1-4; 2:1, 5-9, 17-18; 3:1-3, 7-13; 4:1-2, 11-16; 5:11-14; 6:9-12, 19-20; 10:19-25, 35-36; 11:6; 12:1-3, 14-16; 13:1-2, 15-25 Teacher: Dave Hanson

    7 Spiritual Battlefields

There is an ongoing war raging between good and evil. This three-part teaching looks at seven different spiritual battlefields: arts & entertainment, media, education, government, business/science, religion, and family, explaining how both God and the Devil are fighting to capture our hearts and our loyalty through these media.  Verses: Isa. 52:7; Ezek. 28:12-15; 1 Cor. 15:33; Eph. 6:12; 1 Tim. 2:1-3; 6:10-11; Heb. 13:5; James 3:12-17 Teacher: Dan Gallagher

    Persistent Prayer

Persistent prayer enables us to endure the difficulties we experience in this life. Jesus set the example for us as he, through fervent prayer, endured intense suffering. Through prayer, endurance, and focusing on Jesus, we can truly experience the joy that God wants for us.   Verses: Heb. 12:1-3; James 4:1-3; 5:16-20; Isa. 5:14-15; John 9:31; 15:9-17; Ps. 34:15-16; 66:18; 145:19; 1 Cor. 12:1-2; 1 John 3:1-23; Gal. 5:14; Rom. 13:8-10; Matt. 22:37-40  Teacher: John Truitt

  37. 162

    Joy and Forgiveness

Suffering is a universal problem, and almost as universal is the hurt, anger, resentment, and bitterness that can accompany or follow suffering. The Apostle Paul suffered as a prisoner in Rome, yet he wrote, “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you.” If we are going to have joy in life we must let go of unforgiveness and resentment.  Verses: Acts 9:4; 2 Cor. 1:5; 5:10; Phil. 3:10; 1 Peter 4:13; Rom. 8:22-27, 32; Matt. 5:11-12; Col. 1:24  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  38. 161

    3 Weeks in Thessalonica

During the Apostle Paul’s time in Thessalonica he encouraged believers to build one another up, bless each other, and assist each other in creating and growing a lasting work in the Lord. Scripture provides this wonderful example of serving the Lord and our fellow believers.  Verses: Acts 16:9, 25, 34-40; 17:1-10; Eph. 4:6; 1 Thess. 1:2-6; 2:1-11, 17; 3:1-13  Teacher: Dave Hanson

  39. 160

Begin with the End in Mind

Many successful people have accomplished great things by beginning their efforts with the end goal in mind. This idea applies to our Christian walk, and the Bible provides examples of it in both the Old and New Testaments.  Scripture exhorts us to hold our end goal in mind.   Verses: Ps. 51:11-12; 1 Cor. 1:4-9; 9:1-19; John 8:45-58  Teacher: Jeff Tyler

  40. 159

    Unity

Deep in every person’s heart is a desire to be connected with others, to be known and accepted, to be united with family and friends. As Christians, we often feel the tug for unity but lack an understanding of how to achieve it. This teaching explores the subject of unity from the three perspectives in Scripture: Unity of the Spirit, Unity of the Faith, and Unity of Fellowship.   Verses: Eph. 1:9-10; 4:1-3; John 13:35; 17:11; 1 John 1:3  Teacher: Dan Gallagher

  41. 158

    Father Figures

Teacher: Dave Hanson Both in the Bible and in the world around us, it is evident that one of the most fundamentally important relationships is the one that exists between a father and a child, and it’s no coincidence that one of the primary ways God relates to mankind—specifically to the Body of Christ—is as a Father figure. In this teaching by Dave Hanson, we will look at the topic of father figures from three angles: father and son relationships; what the love of the Father looks like; and what we should do with that great love that God has provided for us. We believe that this teaching will give you greater insight into the relationship between God and His children and how this bond enriches and empowers us to walk out our lives and serve God and others, following the leading of our Heavenly Father.

  42. 157

    Living Behind Enemy Lines

The cry of God’s heart through the ages, “Let my people go!” finally became a spiritual reality when Christ escaped the hold of the grave, rising forever from the dead. But until the day comes when we are gathered to Christ, we must continue to live behind enemy lines. This teaching presents strategies we can employ in order to live and thrive until the final victory.  Verses: John 3:16-17; Heb. 10:24; 11:9-10, 13-14, 16; Phil. 3:18-21; Rom. 8:24; Eph. 2:5; 6:12; 1 Cor. 1:18; Phil 2:12; 2 Cor. 2:11; John 10:10; 1 Pet. 1:13; 4:7; 5:8; Col. 2:8  Teacher: Dan Gallagher

  43. 156

    Love Your Neighbor As Yourself

Jesus taught us that the second most important commandment in the whole Bible is to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Despite this, there is often a surprising lack of love in the Christian community. This teaching focuses on why we should love our neighbor, how we already love ourselves, and practical ways to demonstrate loving behavior towards others.  Verses: Rom. 7:14-18; 12:1-2; 14:1-3, 10-15; Gal. 5:16-17, 19-23; Ps. 73:1-4, 12-17, 24; Matt. 5:16, 22, 29-30, 43-44, 46; 22:39; 2 Pet. 1: 5-7, 10-12; 1 John 2:28; 1 Cor. 3:16-17; 15:33; 2 John 1:8; Eph. 4:29; 5:25-29; Phil. 2:3; Isa. 5:20; 2 Cor. 3:18    Teacher:  John Schoenheit

  44. 155

    The Bible: Told Through Story

Our minds are specifically designed for stories, and story is a powerful force in our daily lives. The Bible is a fascinating narrative, a not-yet finished story of God’s ongoing dealings with people throughout history. We are all invited to be a part of this story.  Teacher:  Dan Gallagher

  45. 154

The Wedding Banquet of the Lamb

The “wedding banquet of the Lamb” is spoken of in Revelation 19 and Isaiah 25, and is a topic of much misinterpretation. This teaching demonstrates that this banquet is part of the celebration of the inauguration of Jesus Christ as king over the earth at the start of the Millennial Kingdom. All saved people will enjoy this banquet with the King of Kings.   Verses: Rev. 19:6-8; Isa. 2:1-4; 25:6-7; 30:6, 23-24; 51:3; Amos 9:13; Gen. 12:3; Zech. 8:22; Matt. 8:11-12; 21:45-46; 22:1, 3-9; 25:1, 10; 26:29; Luke 13:28-30; 14:1-2, 7-8, 10, 12-18, 21; Rom. 10:9  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  46. 153

    The Covenants of God

God is the ruler of His Creation, and He will bring to pass the things He has promised. To truly understand the richness of God’s plan as given to man in His sacred word, it is essential to understand covenants. This teaching shows how God has worked with mankind throughout history and continues to work through covenants to bring to pass His plans and purposes.   Verses: Prov. 16:9; 2 Chron. 20:6; Lev. 2:13; Heb. 8:8; 9:15, 19-21; Hosea 6:7; Gen. 3:15, 21; 9:4-5, 9; 22:17-18; Exod. 19:5-6; Jer. 31:31-34; Matt. 26:28; John 3:16; 2 Cor. 3:3; Isa. 59:21; Ezek. 11:19-20; 1 Cor. 15:24-28  Teacher:  Dan Gallagher

  47. 152

    The Revelation Manifestations

Understanding the receiving of revelation from God and the Lord Jesus Christ includes ascertaining it as a message of knowledge or wisdom to the gift of holy spirit born inside the believer. That message is then given to the mind or body in any of seven ways: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, just knowing or through strong emotion.  Verses: 1 Cor. 12:7-8; Exod. 19:25; 20:1,18-19; Deut. 5:4; Eph. 3:16; 4:24; Col. 3:10; 2 Cor. 4:16; 2 Kings 4:38-40; 6:13-17; 1 Sam. 3:4-10; 11:4-6  Teacher: John Schoenheit

  48. 151

    Pride

Jesus taught that the greatest commandment of all is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Conversely the greatest sin would be loving something or someone more than God. This teaching demonstrates that everyone struggles with pride in life and explores practical ways to lessen pride’s grip, enabling believers to better love and serve God.  Verses: 1 Cor. 1:31; 2 Cor. 9:2; Pro. 8:13; 13:10; 14:3; 16:5, 18; Ps. 10:4; 40:4; 73:6-9; 2 Chron. 26:16-21; 1 John 2:16; Ezek. 28:2, 12-19; Isa.14:12-17; James 4:1-3, 6, 10.  Teacher:  Dan Gallagher

  49. 150

    Offended

Today more and more people are feeling offended by the thoughts and actions of others. The spirit of offense is behind much of this tension as it engenders frustration, resentment, anger, and bitterness between people. The result is an increasing loss of compassion, coldness, and even hatred. This teaching helps the believer to explore godly solutions to free themselves from the enemy’s trap of being “offended.”  Verses: Prov. 18:19; 2 Cor. 4:3-4; Eph 4:26-27, 31; Prov. 19:11; 22:24; 29:22; 30:33; Col. 3:8; 2 Tim. 2:23-26; Matt. 15:12-14   Teacher: Dan Gallagher

  50. 149

    God’s Divine Council

Little known by the Christian Church is the fact that God has an inner divine council of spirit beings with whom He works to administer the universe. This makes sense when one considers the way God works with mankind and with Jesus Christ. This teaching scripturally shows that this divine council has actively helped God in the past and will continue in that role in the future.  Verses: Gen. 1:26, 28; 2:15; Deut. 16:18; Eph. 1:22-23; 3:14-15; 4:11-12; Rev. 3:14; 4:1-4; Matt.19:28; Isa. 1:26; 6:8; 14:12-14; Jer. 23:3-4, 16-18, 21-22; 1 Cor. 6:2; 8:5; Heb. 7:1; Ps. 82:1; 89:5-8; Job 1:6; 15:8; Dan. 4:13-14,16-17, 23-24; 7:8-10, 25-26; 1 Kings 22:19     Teacher: John Schoenheit
