The Future Belongs to Christ - Micah 4

from Theologia Podcast · host Tim Carson

When you look at the world today, does it appear that Christ is winning? Does it appear that the church is making up ground in Canada? Though God's people experience judgment, suffering, and opposition, God is faithful. Christ is establishing His everlasting kingdom, gathering His people from every nation, and will ultimately reign over all creation.1.      We may still see judgment come upon this land; keep building.         Don’t fall to the temptation of interpreting the times around you without the promises of God.         Wise as serpents – innocent as doves.         Build families, build vocations and institutions, develop deep roots. 2.      There may still be more for the church to endure; keep the course.         The LORD is our strong tower.         The concept of current/future suffering producing a greater joy is often blurred by the misty fog of doubt and fear.          The bearing of our crosses may seem like defeat to a fallen world, yet it the path that Christ calls us to walk. To pick up our cross and follow Christ is to trust him with every event and outcome. 3.      The fulfillment will come; keep praying and planting.         May we never confuse delay for defeat.         Christ is at the right hand of the Father, and the Father has ordained and will providentially work his decrees.         The cross looked like defeat; it was the victory. The resurrection proves that God is faithful, and that Christ Jesus is king.
