We already saw it in Alabama, where calling embryos “children” shut IVF clinics down overnight.A new report from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research finds ab@rt!on bans are draining roughly $140 billion a year from the economy, pushing women out of jobs and whole states out of the running for the workers who’d power them.In San Antonio, artist Ana Hernandez unveiled a mural honoring four women killed by Texas’s ban: Josseli Barnica, Nevaeh Crain, Porsha Ngumezi, and Tierra Walker. Meanwhile Arkansas approved a monument to the unborn at its Capitol, built from a design taken from a local artist who was never paid. In Wyoming, after a judge struck down three anti-ab@rt!on laws, Republicans moved to dismantle their own supreme court.
