The God Who Is On The Move

If there is a constant in our experience of human leadership it is that such leadership inevitably fails us. It is hard not to be cynical about such leadership. Of course, that cynicism should extend to ourselves. How often we fail to self-lead, let along lead others? 1 Samuel speaks into this leadership malaise. 1 Samuel 2.11-36 is part of that unfolding story. We will see just how dark human leadership can be, but we will also see just how relentless God’s good plan to overcome such failed leadership is.
