We explore these qualities found in nature by looking at the fern, the goose and a Brothers Grimm story about a farmer being observed by a family of larks. Giving young children choices in their lives develops the following qualities: sense of self; self-determination; self-advocacy; leadership; goal-setting…. qualities that are required for the next generation to live in a world without rulers or slaves.
