Today, we have the incredible honor of chatting with Amanda Brugel, who plays Rita Blue - one of the very first characters we fell in love with on The Handmaid’s Tale, all the way back in the pilot episode. Sarcastic, sassy, stoic - yet also soft-hearted beneath it all - Amanda plays Rita with such depth, a paragraph will certainly not do her performance justice. Neither will half an hour - but we were just so honored Amanda took that time to share with us her beautiful personal experience with Rita. An experience that, incredibly, goes back much farther than the past ten years of making this show! Truly this was one of the most moving interviews we’ve ever conducted.
