[verse 1] If love is so tender, so patient and kind, then what greater force in life could we find? In all of our troubles and trials we go through, our love will be strong, enduring, and true. For we are not perfect, our flesh often fails, as a ship tossed at sea with faltering sails. The wind and the waves will soon take their toll, but redemption depends on Who’s in control. [chorus] To pilot a ship, One must know the way, when passing through storms, at the helm He will stay. Our hearts must be trusting and free from the fear, that peace and the solace when Jesus is near.
