The Homelessness Marathon and The Frank Williams Outreach Center & KKFI Pledge Drive

IT IS PLEDGE DRIVE ON KKFI - JAWS OF JUSTICE RADIO WILL BEGIN AT ABOUT 9:20 AM THIS WEEK. The 17th Annual Homelessness Marathon The 17th Annual Homelessness Marathon will originate from Sarasota, Florida on February 17th -18th. Why Sarasota? Because we're holding this Marathon in conjunction with The National Coalition for the Homeless, which has named one Florida city after another (including Sarasota, one year) as the cruelest city in America. We want to push back against that cruelty. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Homelessness Marathon it is not about raising money but rather about raising awareness and compassion for the difficulties of the homeless. They will have two toll free phone lines for folks to call in on. One line is for anyone who wants to ask a question or tell of their efforts to help the homeless in their community, the other line is for those who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or have been homeless to call in and tell their story.
