The Intersection of Environmental and Social Justice w/ Michelle Mabson, Chief Advocacy Officer of Black Millennials for Flint

In this episode, Monica has the opportunity and privilege of interviewing Michelle Mabson, she is the Chief Advocacy Officer of a non-profit organization called Black Millennials for Flint. This organization was created as a result of the severe water crisis that began in Flint, Michigan in 2014. Michelle Mabson and her team mobilized in an effort to help alleviate the environmental and social injustice that happened to the community of Flint. Through their work, they have been able to assist other communities in the United States that either have faced or are facing similar issues that Flint has gone through. In this conversation it becomes apparent that environmental issues are social justice issues, it is all connected.
