For the month of May, for Mental Health Awareness Month, our host, Desiree Duar, invites four families from various cultural backgrounds—one each week—to discuss their struggles and triumphs with mental health issues in the family and community.This light-hearted program welcomes children as guests, recognizing that their perspective is vital to the family unit. Often, difficulties affect children even more than adults, so Desiree wanted to hear directly from every family member.The environment is informal, fostering open and free expression so guests feel comfortable.
