The King Has Come - Mark 14:53-65 & 15:1-15

from Wahroonga Anglican Podcast · host Gavin Parsons

The pursuit of truth can be a twisting turning journey. In the trial of Jesus there are two parts: The trial before the Jewish authorities who wanted him killed on the charge of Blasphemy; The trial before the Roman authority Pontius Pilate. Pilate was the only legal authority who could sign off on the capital punishment of treason, and death by crucifixion. In this three-way power struggle Jesus displays his glory. The trial(s) of Jesus invites us to remember the Son of Man came not be served but serve and give his life as ransom for many. Here is a truth that some find hard to handle.
