Hello and Happy Holidays from Leadership Vision! My name is Nathan Freeburg, and we’re taking a little break from the podcast for the next two weeks, where we share our expertise in the discovery, practice, and implementation of StrengthsFinder. We’ll be back on January 8th, with new episodes and resources for developing your Strengths, the Strengths of your team, and the Strengths of your organization.

In the meantime, we hope you and your loved ones have a fun and safe holiday season, enjoying your families holiday traditions.

Something my family does every year around this time is to look forward to the coming year. We try to intentionally share one thing that we’re excited about in the year to come, and sometimes ask for specific levels of support from one another.

At our company holiday gathering this year, after dinner, I took my recorder out and asked our entire Leadership Vision team to share one thing they were excited about in 2018. The rest of this episode is an excerpt from that time together. The conversation happened after dinner, where we’d just had a delicious meal and were sitting around the table, laughing, sharing and just spending nonwork focused time together.

A table is a special place for us. It’s a place where we share our perspectives, challenge each other, and openly ask for help as we work together in collaborative partnership. As you look forward to what the next year holds for you, we want to challenge you to gather your people around a table of your own and be intentional about how you approach the next year on a personal and professional level.

Here’s to a fabulous 2018!

BER Podcast Biblical Eldership Resources Our vision is to promote biblical eldership for the glory of God by providing teaching, resources, training and mentoring for current and future church leaders who will implement, practice, teach and train others in biblical eldership as the model for church leadership. inspire me! Riold Furtuna After several positions and experiences I have become fascinated with the question: how can leaders start out on the right foot? In order to getting closer to answering this question, I set up the podcast series “inspire me!”. On each episode I interview leaders that have had and continue to have a great impact on society and have, directly or indirectly, inspired me and influenced my personal and professional choices. While we discuss the main topic of leadership, on each episode we’ll focus on subtopics, such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, compassion, integrity, and persistence, to mention a few. My vision is to tap into the experience of these leaders and ultimately provide young and emerging leaders a compass for maximizing the impact we have in the world while being uncompromisingly ethical.
