from Update@Noon · host SAfm

Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of Parliament for the Committee on Justice and Constitutional development, Damien Klooper says the NPA is failing at the basics, with the most recent example being the Timothy Omotoso case. The DA held a briefing this morning to discuss the failures of the National Prosecuting Authority regarding priority crimes and state capture. Klopper, says establishing an anti-corruption unit, would be an effective way of boosting prosecutions. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Dr Jean Redpath, Senior  researcher from the the Dullah Omar Institute.
