The lesson of LegosIn the summer of 2019, I had occasion to assist a good friend in movinga lady from Maryland to her new place in Brooklin NY. The trip wasmonumental in several ways, not the least of which was learning tonavigate the somewhat congested roads and subway systems in thecity.For accommodations, we had arranged to stay with my friend’s formerpastor, whom I had never met. We arrived at his door on the firstevening and were warmly greeted shortly after knocking. Followingsome pleasantries, we were invited in and, as I crossed the threshold, Inoticed a Lego block in the corner of the door frame.That Lego block warmed my heart as I felt the kid inside me awake andit set the stage for a wonderful visit with their family.
