The March Back to Gaza: Why Jewish Resettlement Is the Path to Victory

Twenty-one years after Israel dismantled 21 thriving Jewish communities in Gaza and expelled nearly 10,000 Jews from their homes, the conversation has come full circle. What was presented in 2005 as a path to peace instead paved the way for our jihadi enemies to turn Gaza into a terror launching pad, with years of rocket fire, and ultimately the horrors of the October 7 massacre.This week, fifteen thousand Israelis marched toward Gaza with a clear message: the time has come to rebuild Jewish communities in Gaza, beginning with northern Gaza. The march reflected a growing belief among many Israelis that lasting security requires more than military victories.In this video, I explain why I believe true victory over Hamas and jihadist terror requires more than eliminating terrorists and destroying tunnels. Military achievements alone cannot prevent future attacks if hostile forces can eventually return and rebuild. History in both Gaza and southern Lebanon has shown what can happen when security vacuums are created.I also share my personal memories from the 2005 disengagement protests, including Kfar Maimon and the marches toward Gaza, and how this new movement is fundamentally different. Instead of trying to prevent destruction, we are now marching with the mission to rebuild.I discuss why civilian communities, together with the IDF and full Israeli sovereignty, are the only long-term strategy to prevent another October 7.
