The Million Dollar View

On Christmas Day, I went for a run up Cedar Hill to check on a stash of firewood near an old house and enjoy the soft trails underfoot. The run included a steep climb to a spot I called the “Million Dollar Hill,” where I paused to take a photo of the view. I reflected on my fitness struggles after a week off and mentioned my cross-training efforts, including e-biking and sawing wood. Passing King’s Pond, I noted the quiet holiday atmosphere, with a few golfers and runners enjoying the day. I ended my run at the Rec Centre, completing a 300-calorie workout before wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
