The Miracle of Obedience: Walking in Faith Peter walks on water: stepping out of the boat of safety into the realm of the miraculous "And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea... And Peter answered Him and said, 'Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.' So He said, 'Come.' And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus." — Matthew 14:25, 28-29 The Storm is Not a Mistake Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him while He dismissed the crowd (v. 22). They weren't caught in a storm by accident; they were sent straight into the wind by obedience. Just because you are facing a massive storm doesn't mean you are out of the will of God. Sometimes, the path to your next level of faith requires going straight through contrary winds. God uses the storm to break your reliance on human comfort and push you toward a supernatural encounter.
