The Motherload of Golden Oysters

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=senorcoconut/toryewty Once again I'm just showing off what's in our little forest. The abundance of wild food is incredible... From mushrooms to wild game, it's all here!!! And we're only sitting on 20 acres. I know it's a lot of land/forest for a lot of people, but it's not really huge, in the grand scheme of it all. We get a first flush of Golden Oysters early spring, by mid fall or so we've had about 5 flushes. We typically only harvest what we can eat and a little more to give away, so in the end we collect about 50 pounds of oysters a year. We also dry some, just enough to have a little left over by the time spring rolls around again! This journey for knowledge of wild foods has become an incredible passion. I love it so much, wherever we go, I'm always on the look out for anything I can recognize and identify. It's a pretty awesome thing to be passionate about!!! And yo know, once you can identify a certain plant, or mushroom it's like the alphabet. You cannot forget what a "G" looks like right? Yeah, same same with nature.
