from The Mountain Mysteries · host Christopher S Slone

Dr. George P. Archer was considered one of Eastern Kentucky's most active civic leaders, doctors, and leaders. He had served as chairman of the Big Sandy Area Development District's board of directors since that body was officially formed. He was a surgeon and a person who had held the office of mayor and was going into a 4th consecutive term. By all accounts the good he did for the region was astounding. So why was he murdered on July 12, 1973, in the parking lot of his clinic where he helped so many people? Who exactly was he? VISIT THE MOUNTAIN MYSTERIES Become a Patron!
