Laneshia Crowder, known to friends and family as "Lane," was born on July 21st, 1979, in Georgia. She grew up in Carrollton, a suburban town near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, with around 30,000 residents at the time. Carrollton, often referred to as the "Friendly City," was a place where people knew one another, and looked out for each other. Everyone sort of knew everyone and violent crime was rare.On Monday, August 14th, police arrive fairly quickly on the scene and are met with a gruesome sight. Immediately walking in they find Laneshia, motionless on the floor and 2 year old lyric next to her. Who murdered Laneshia? The case has gone unsolved for over 2 decades.A reward of $8,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Laneshia’s murder.
