The New Suffering - Beth Hoy
from Aberfoyle Park Baptist Church · host Aberfoyle Park Baptist Church
This week Beth continued our 'New Humanity' series with a message from Ephesians 3:1-13.Paul proudly owns his identity as a prisoner for the benefit of the Gentiles. Being a prisoner is surly a bad thing...so why is this suffering a point of pride for Paul? The answer is in his perspective. What can we learn from the attitude Paul models in this passage as we seek to be servants of the gospel? Beth has left us with the following questions to reflect upon during the week; Can you see God at work in your present suffering? If so, are you thanking Him for that? If not, do you have the faith to praise him for it anyway, trusting in his future? Can you pray that God might give you that faith? Do you consider it a gift and a grace to serve Him and the gospel? Does understanding God’s plan for the church in the spiritual realms change the way you participate in church?
