The Next Faithful Step

📖 Wisdom Wednesday — The Next Faithful StepHave you ever wished God would just show you the whole plan?Where is this going?What am I supposed to do next?How is all of this going to work out?In Acts 16, Paul and his companions were genuinely trying to serve God.They planned to preach the gospel in Asia...but the Holy Spirit stopped them.They tried to enter Bithynia...but the Spirit of Jesus did not permit them.And God didn't immediately tell Paul where he was supposed to go.So what did Paul do?He kept faithfully walking with the light God had given him.Eventually, they reached Troas—and there God made the next direction clear:Macedonia.💭 Today's TruthGod may not show you the whole road, but He has given you enough truth to take the next faithful step.Psalm 119:105 says: “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”Sometimes we want a spotlight illuminating the next five years.God often gives us enough light to faithfully walk today.And remember: Acts 16 does not teach that every closed door means God has said no. Sometimes obstacles require perseverance.But it does remind us that following Jesus requires being willing to let Him redirect our plans—even good plans.Maybe instead of asking only: “God, will You show me the whole plan?”Ask: “Lord, what does faithfulness look like for me today?”Maybe it's having the conversation.Forgiving someone.Doing the work already in front of you.Waiting patiently.Walking away from something you know isn't right.Or simply continuing to pray while you wait for clearer direction.You may not know where Macedonia is yet. Just be faithful on the road to Troas.🙏 Today's PrayerLord, thank You that I don't have to see the whole road in order to follow You. Give me wisdom to recognize Your direction and humility when You redirect my plans. Help me obey what You have already made clear instead of worrying about what You haven't shown me yet. Teach me to faithfully walk with You today and trust You with tomorrow.
