The Old Serpent, The Devil Arises

"Never Again" has become a famous Jewish motto in regards to the Holocaust and we may wonder, could the Holocaust happen again? Jeremiah the prophet through the spirit wrote that: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" To this agree the words of the Lord Jesus Christ: in Matthew 15:18,19 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies..." The Apostle Paul also spoke of the corruptness of mans natural carnal mind in Romans 8:6-8: "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." Yet most people will not agree to this plain teaching of the Bible and the reason for this is human pride, that pride of life that caused Eve to take the forbidden fruit, for she imagined that the tree was "a tree to be desired to make one wise."
