the origin of inspiration

from The Alma Y Tierra Podcast · host Claudia Howick

hello sweet souls and welcome back to the Alma Y Tierra podcast; today we're diving into the topic of inspiration and motivation through an unexpectedly spiritual lens.this episode was absolutely God-breathed… as I discuss the etymology of the word ‘inspiration’, derived from the Latin ‘inspirare’ - meaning 'divine guidance' - and the meaning of ‘inspire’, coming from the Old French ‘inspiracion’: a noun of action meaning 'breathed upon'…as i was speaking, the visual of God bringing water out of the dry rocks through Moses came to me. i realised that, just like the Israelites were complaining of the thirst that literally 'tormented' them, we, too, neglect God being the Literal and Only source of inspiration, from a perspective that transcends both the literal and figurative meaning. for it was God, the fount of life itself, who humbled Himself from on high to live among us, as one of us, who created something out of nothing; He who defined existence before existence even knew of itself. 'Begotten, not made'...i realise, now, that a notion of inspiration beyond or outside of God cannot be, because its very conception is the breath that God Himself ‘inspired’ into Adam’s lifeless body to give him, and thus all of humanity henceforth, life.Scripture referenced: Exodus 17:1-7; 2 Timothy 3:16; Genesis 2:7.‘How To Act On Inspiration | you are ready to live purposefully' - YouTube videolove, blessings and light, claudia.
