The Passover Lamb and the New Covenant | Jesus is King | Matthew 26:26-46

It is no accident that Jesus was crucified during Passover. The passover is a memorial of the blood of the lamb that caused death to pass over the homes it covers. Jesus is the Passover Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, and He institutes the ordinance of communion at the passover meal hours before He is arrested and eventually crucified to atone for the sins of the elect.
