The Power of Memory after Covid with Mats Melin

from Be Well with Dr. Michelle Greenwell · host Michelle Greenwell

All of us have a relationship with Covid.  We may have gotten sick from it, had a family member get sick, perhaps we have known a loved one to die.  We have been in lock down, had restrictions, been challenged politically, and had our worst fears about the survival of the planet put before us.  Sounds like a doomsday kind of chat doesn’t it?I am thrilled to introduce a very special friend from the dance world.  Mats Melin is an author, choreographer, historian, lecturer, and dancer.  While flying to see his mother in March of 2020, before we knew much about Covid, he contracted the virus and fell deeply ill.  This in itself is a story of survival and the will to live and the power of love to pull you from the depths of disease.  Today we will be chatting about life as a long hauler and what it is to be living after recovery from Covid.  This isn’t your typical discussion however, would I ever delivery something straight forward?Today we are discussion memories and awareness.  How do you know what you know about your past and what triggers those memories and how might they be stored within you?  Mats will be sharing his insights and experiences with losing his sense of taste and smell and what that has meant to memories and resiliency. Support the showDr. Michelle Greenwell, BA Psych, MSc CAM, Ph.
