The Prince of This World Has Been Condemned

The title "Prince of this world" is a Biblical term which Jesus uses three times in the scriptures to describe Satan. It means satan holds a temporary authority over the sinful fallen world and its systems operating as a cunning adversary who opposes God and influences humanity through deception and temptation. However, at Jesus' crucifixion, Jesus defeated satan. Jesus said in John 16:11b, "…because the ruler of this world (Satan) has been judged and condemned." ‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬. Condemn means to sentence someone to a particular punishment, especially death; to pronounce someone guilty and sentence them to punishment. At the cross Jesus defeated sin, death, the grave and satan and liberated mankind.
