The Purpose of the Church: Evangelism

Greetings, and may grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied to you. We will be in Luke 19 today. Zaccheus was a tax collector, and had stolen money from the people (similar to how the IRS steals from us daily). Understandably, the people were upset with this guy, and didn’t want Jesus spending time with him. But people like Zaccheus need Jesus just as much as you and I do. Now Zaccheus sought out Jesus, but how often are we seeking out people like him to share the Gospel? The Church is made up of broken individuals that needed to hear the Gospel at some point. So, when was the last time you shared the Gospel? “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28 19-20 Don’t forget to pray for one another, especially during these uncertain times.
