The Secret Kindergarten Radio Show for Young Children – Episode 7

from The Secret Kindergarten | For Young Children · host Gino Volante

Why does death feature in so many fairy tales and fables of old? Like life, popular stories for children have a strong start, a journey and a strong finish. There is already a metaphor to life in story. Birth and death is easily placed into children’s stories as children are immersed in the metaphors and symbolism. This is because of their situation… a developed subconscious mind and the hidden angelic forces helping them to make sense of the world as they develop the conscious mind through play.Gino pulls the Queen of Swords for this episode. A correspondence is found with Red Riding Hood. Themes of feminine power, courage, a sharp tongue and doing the right thing are at play. The story of Red Riding Hood has been re-interpreted throughout history. Are you brave enough to play the original story to a young girl in your life? The Secret Kindergarten seeks to erase the “princess programming” and also the “white knighting” (where girls can do no wrong) in the world. Why not encourage all young children to face realities and be brave, and explore the morals of cause-and-effect and self defence. Does a girl have a right to hit a boy? Does a boy have a right to defend himself against a girl? Does a girl have the ability to be brave, courageous and strong? Is there a way of being right and powerful in a feminine way? The Secret Kindergarten wants young children to explore these themes and many others. After all, “death-play” in young children is real, required and natural… it cannot be removed and should not be repressed. The truth is, death is not a big deal in the world of young children. In fact, it is part of the fun in imaginary play. And imaginary play is where the brain develops the most and the best. So, let’s bring back some old original stories and hear them in all their deathly glory!More info and credits: https://thesecretkindergarten.com/the-secret-kindergarten-radio-show-for-young-children-episode-7/The Secret Kindergarten is live every Saturday 2.00pm-3.00pm Eastern Time on Revolution Radio (Studio A): https://www.revolution.radio/.https://thesecretkindergarten.com/For any questions or comments: [email protected] my work: https://thesecretkindergarten.com/about-and-contact/#donations-link.
