The short, complicated term of KiwiRail's Scott O'Donnell

Scott O'Donnell would have been paid tens of thousands of dollars to be on KiwiRail's board. But conflicts of interest meant he missed large chunks of its meetings. He's recently resigned - more than two years before his term was up - to pursue other interests, but details released under the Official Information Act show just how conflicted the director was.
