The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs. Bengals Preview, Porter Jr. Thursday Presser, Week 3 Picks & More

September 25, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 27 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Thursday injury report the Pittsburgh Steelers released ahead of the team's week 3 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. We go over how all eyes will be on WR Michael Pittman Jr. (foot), RB Rico Dowdle (toe), OG Gennings Dunker (knee), and CB Joey Porter Jr. (NIR/conditioning) when it comes to the Friday injury report. Will the Steelers make a few practice squad elevations on Saturday? Will the team have new starters on the right side of their offensive line on Sunday against the Bengals? What will the Week 3 pregame inactive list look like? Alex and I attempt to answer those questions early in this show. Porter Jr. met the media on Thursday, and it marked his first presser since the regular season started. We go over what Porter Jr. did and didn’t say on Thursday in addition to talking about him potentially seeing his first game action of the 2026 season on Sunday. With the Week 3 home game against the Bengals coming up on Sunday, Alex and I are joined by Jay Morrison, who covers Cincinnati for Sports Illustrated at BengalsTalk.com. Jay provides his insight on the 2026 Bengals ahead of them facing the Steelers, and he answers several questions we have about Cincinnati’s offense and defense. At the end of our interview with Jay, he provides us with a final score prediction for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh. If you are not already doing so, please follow Jay on X at @ByJayMorrison and make sure to read his work on online here as well. Following our interview with Jay, Alex and I provide our own full preview of the Steelers' game against the Bengals. With the rest of Week 3 of the NFL season now close, Alex and I pick all of the remaining games against the spread. We also provide our final score predictions for Steelers-Bengals game. This 95-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
