July 31, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 2 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, that was recorded Thursday night, Alex Kozora and I start by giving some overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers 2026 training camp with their first two practices now completed. The Steelers had eight players in for tryouts on Thursday, so Alex and I recap that list. We also discuss the two free agents that came in for visits on Thursday with S Jordan Whitehead being the marquee player. We discuss how Whitehead isn’t likely to sign anywhere for a little while as he might decide to entertain a few more visits with other NFL teams. Steelers HC Mike McCarthy revealed his six pillars for team success on Thursday, so Alex and I recap those during this show. We also recap a few other things that McCarthy said on Thursday in addition to reviewing a few things that quarterbacks Will Howard and Mason Rudolph have said this week. ILB Patrick Queen recently gave his thoughts on his 2025 play, so we go over his self-evaluation and where his play needs to improve in 2026. OT Broderick Jones return from a serious 2025 neck injury seems to be going well so Alex and I discuss where he is at in his rehab and the possibility of him playing in at least one preseason game, if not all of them.
