The Test Hidden Inside the Blessing - Ekev

 This morning , we explore one of the Torah’s greatestparadoxes. The generation that ate the manna never worried about planting,harvesting, or earning a livelihood. Every morning, their sustenance descendeddirectly from Heaven. Yet the Torah repeatedly calls the manna a test. How cana daily miracle be considered a test? Drawing on the teachings of RabbiYissocher Frand, the Sforno, and the Lubavitcher Rebbe, we discover that thegreatest spiritual challenges are not always found in hardship. Sometimes theyare hidden inside our greatest blessings.     Through the remarkable stories of Hillel and Rabbi Elazarben Ḥarsom, together with the timeless lessons of Parashat Eikev, we will seethat both poverty and prosperity demand emunah. An empty basket teaches us totrust HaShem for tomorrow, while a full basket challenges us never to forgetthe true Source of our success. The circumstances of the test may change, butour mission remains the same: to recognize every blessing as a gift from HaShemand to use it to build a life of Torah, mitzvot, gratitude, and purpose.
