The things we keep saving for later
from Whole & Unleashed · host Jessica Lock
How many things are we saving for later because we're afraid of ruining them, getting them wrong, or not being ready? In this episode, I share the story of a Japanese knife that sat unused in my kitchen drawer for eight years, and what it taught me about the things we protect so carefully that we forget to actually experience them. Growing up in an immigrant family, I learned the value of taking care of what we have and saving nice things for special occasions. But sometimes, that instinct to protect what matters can quietly turn into a fear of using our gifts, pursuing our ideas, or letting ourselves be seen before we feel ready. What if we don't need to feel completely prepared before we begin? What if part of moving towards what matters is learning to be okay with being new, imperfect, and uncertain? A reflection on the patterns that keep us waiting, the potential we keep tucked away, and what becomes possible when we finally take something out of the drawer. Get Your Mojo Back begins November 18. If there's something you've been wanting to create, change, or move towards, explore the program at https://wholeandunleashed.com/get-your-mojo-back
