Hi Satsmate Stackers,

I hope you are doing well! In today's podcast, I discuss the tradeoff of outsourcing our thinking in today's day and age.

We give up the most important thing possible: our critical thinking skills. We must use our minds, and not just hand over our thinking to an AI. Specifically in this podcast, I discuss the following important topics:

  • Humanity is progressing quickly, and with this comes huge benefits and some bad
  • Think about today when you are trying to do simple math
  • Or think about how you can get from one place to another nowadays
  • Can you do so without technology and typing it in? For many of us, no
  • AI will help us advance, but in doing so, many of us will outsource our thinking to it
  • If you don’t use it, you lose it. Think about languages, or with older people walking
  • AI is already capable of so much, and this is the worst it will ever be
  • I think it is important that we don’t use it for every little thing
  • We need to keep our brains sharp, and do things without it sometimes
  • Futuristic movies like Wall-E or Idiocracy paint a dystopic (albeit funny)
  • Ask yourself, as a society, do we want to progress in intelligence, or get worse?
  • I think what we should do is use our own brains for everything
  • If in the end we really can’t figure it out, then we leverage AI
  • Don’t give all the difficulty to the AI, or else we will potentially lose problem-solving and complex reasoning
  • The future is exciting, we need to lean into this tech, but use it as a copilot, not a pilot
