The True Root Cause to Feeling Lazy & Procrastination

from Master Your Mindset and Metabolism - Mid-Life Edition

"I hear the statement often and I want to help to give you some grace. So one of the things as a coach that I really help my clients with is a couple of things is always recalibrating their state of mind, always making sure that they are keeping their language in a place of desire and where they want to go, because the words that we say are very powerful. And one of the statements that I will hear is I am lazy and that shit just makes me cringe. Ok, here's the thing. You're not lazy and no one you really shouldn't say that. Like, it just doesn't sound very good coming out of people's mouths. First of all, but second, it's just recognizing that overwhelm is pretty much the root problem, which creates procrastination. Which then equals feeling lazy to you. Ok, so let me repeat that overwhelm is the true problem. And when you feel overwhelmed, what do you want to do? Oh, oh, forget, I'm just, yeah, I just can't right now. Yeah, I just can't. So then that creates a lack of wanting to do it. So you what? You procrastinate in doing it? But then in your mind, you feel like I am being lazy. So you're not lazy, so honestly, I would truthfully work really hard to divorce that statement from your language."
