The Use of TORS for HPV-Related Oropharynx Cancer

Host: Lee Freedman, MD Oropharyngeal cancer is part of a growing proportion of head and neck malignancies. This has also been associated with the increase in infection of the oropharynx by oncogenic strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV). And, transoral robotic surgery, or TORS, has allowed for minimally invasive surgery for HPV-related and non-HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer.
