The Voice of Luke: Part VI – “Christ Weeps Over Jerusalem”
from Covenant Community Church Indianapolis · host Dr. Wallace O. McLaughlin, M.Div., Ph.D.
Luke 19: 41-44 (NRSV). Luke’s account of the gospel is the only one in which Jesus sees the city and weeps. If tears and weeping are Jesus’ entry into Holy Week, maybe tears and weeping should be our entry into Holy Week. Pastor Wallace challenges us in this text to understand that although the city is Jerusalem, but it’s not about only a particular city. It’s more about a condition. It’ about our ignorance of “the things that make for peace,” and blindness to “the time of (our) visitation from God.” In our faith walk, it is important to know why Jesus wept. If you have been blessed from hearing this message, please support us by giving. Thanks and Amen.https://pushpay.com/g/covenantcommunitychurchSupport the show
