James spent over 5 years of study and training in India from 2007 - 2012 completing his Masters degree in Indian Philosophy and Religion in the holy city of Varanasi.  James is a qualified Shivananda Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga teacher. He has also trained with the Trika (agama) school of Tantra Yoga and has taken extensive  personal retreat and immersion into the esoteric teachings of the Tantric philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism.
