The Weigh Station

The cornfields left me bleeding So I spent my time alone and reading Chasing elves and swords and both were fleeting Farm buffet is what we’re eating My teen bones took such a beating Drunken cowgirls stepping and competing I was green, my eyes would stray Wandering about the white Milky Way Watching trains on the railway Dressed in drag, spiky hairspray I doubted life was real and screenplay Maybe someday leaving Monday And this is the weigh station And we so are all more than this All more than this The weigh station All more than this All more than this This is the gray the weigh station Blonde handcuffs, hers were clinking Side by side our life was blue and sinking Muddy cowboys chewing and winking The closet black and blinking Crushed by Niki’s kiss and red drinking Imposter-naut, cells interlinking Black locks and sunglasses Pretty girl preferred redneck facists Cow shit just poisoned the masses Trepassed the overpasses Skipped out except the art classes Made other plans out on the grasses And this is the weigh station And we so are all more than this All more than this The weigh station All more than this All more than this This is the clay the weigh station Bailing hay on the mild side Wait, wait, wait, shut up And this is the weigh station And we so are all more than this All more than this The weigh station All more than this All more than this This is the fray the weigh station
