The Wind ☂️

Through a glass door, I’m watching some flowers moving beneath an open umbrella. They’re gently waving back and forth.I can’t see the wind that is moving them. From where I am, I can’t even feel it. I don’t know if the air outside is cold or warm. I don’t really know what the weather feels like at all.All I can see is the result of the wind operating at this moment.And as I watched, I thought, faith works much the same way.We don’t always see what is happening. We don’t always know the end result. Sometimes we don’t even understand the conditions surrounding us. Yet belief, conviction, and faith move our hearts. They move our emotions. And sometimes, they move us into action.Not because we can see everything.Not because we understand everything.Not because we know exactly where things are going.But because we believe.I don’t need to feel the wind to know that it is there. I can see the flowers moving. I can see the umbrella responding to something invisible.And maybe that is one of the simplest ways to understand faith.Sometimes we stand behind the glass, unable to feel what is happening on the other side. We cannot see the wind, but we can recognize its movement by what it touches.Faith invites us to do the same.To trust beyond what we can see. To recognize that something can be moving even when our senses cannot confirm it. And to allow that conviction to move us, even when we don’t completely understand the weather around us.Today, if you cannot see what is happening beyond the glass, look again.You may not see the wind.You may not feel the wind.But maybe the evidence is already moving right in front of you.BW
