The problem isn’t that faith is visible; it’s that visibility becomes the goal. From giving that “sounds a trumpet” to prayers timed for the busiest street corners, to fasting that broadcasts misery for sympathy, each practice shows how easily good disciplines become a way to gain attention, approval, or a sense of superiority.
