Financial markets are tanking, Middle East tensions are escalating and the American political system is in a cycle unlike any other ever seen.The Democrats are skipping steps in our traditional electoral process. Tenets once seen as basic, even sacred, no longer seem to apply. Things like robust competition between candidates, basic consent of the governed regarding rules and process, the opportunity to cast one’s vote for those ostensibly tapped to represent your interests.
