The Year That Changed Me
from Becoming Amanda Podcast · host Amanda Torres
Birthdays have a way of making you take inventory. Not just of what you’ve accomplished, but of who you’ve become, what the last year taught you, and what you’re no longer willing to carry into the next one. In this birthday episode, I’m reflecting on some of the biggest lessons this past year handed me, from trusting movement before clarity, to rebuilding what matters, letting go of the need to explain myself, and realizing that not everything or everyone deserves a seat at the table. I’m also talking about what I’m leaving behind as I step into this next year of my life: proving, overthinking, waiting until I feel ready, and carrying things that were never mine to begin with. This isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about deciding what comes with me from here. Here’s to less waiting, more movement, and another year of becoming.
