In 1939, a man takes his young daughter into a hospital in Peru, believing that she has a stomach tumour. After the little girl is examined by doctors, the family are given the reassuring news that there is no tumour present. They do, however, discover something growing inside of her that ABSOLUTELY should not be there - and it is so unbelievably shocking that it feels as though it couldn’t possibly be true. But sadly, it is. And the story behind it, while disturbing, is nothing short of extraordinary.
