Theosophonoaesthetics and Transition's Seller Door

from Ex Marks the Rot · host Exulansic

I react to a subject of a couple tweets who's made two videos about me now. I have a special fondness for this video. Theosophonoaesthetics is a portmanteau of theosophy and phonoaesthetics, and refers to the beautiful sounds of someone trying to will their God into being. “Cellar door” was Tolkien’s example of phonoaesthetics, the quality of a word or phrase sounding beautiful. But here, he and I stand on either side of the transition seller door. Do you want to pass through? My argument is that you’ll have a bad time. Her argument is “room for one more!” Quite clearly these arguments appeal to young people thirsty for a culturally approved rite of passage that involves a permanent transition. It used to be marrying and having children. Now it’s giving birth to yourself. This is a public episode.
